01 Model must be designed before January, 31th, 1.956. (This date corresponds both with the latest issue of the old argentine magazine “Aeromodelismo” and with the “Federación Argentina de Aeromodelismo” rules for “Old-Time” and “Nostalgia” models.

02 Maximum wingspan: 1 meter (39 3/8 inches), but 40 inches is also acceptable.

03 Towing line lenght: 30 meters.

04 Classic building style: Balsa and paper. No Boron, Carbon, Kevlar or similar fibers nor plastic covering allowed.

05 Reduced (proportionally) versions of larger models are eligible, but they must keep the original’s outlines, sections, profiles and structure.

06 Can incorporate auto-rudder and DT mechanisms even if they weren’t in the original.

07 Cannot modify the wood sizes and the construction of the original, with the exception of those intended to reinforce or to beef up the structure, i.e. larger wood sizes for longerons, leading and trailing edges, corner gussets, or so, whenever they do not detract the model’s original appearance. Can use balsa –or hard wood- where the plan calls for “bamboo”.

08 No circular towing and /or hook allowed.

09 Two different models are allowed for each contestant. In case a Contestants participates with two different models, it will use a form for model. The contestant will only obtain a classification with the form has better times.

10 Contestants must send a copy –in any scale- of the model plane(s) used for the contest, provided they weren’t downloaded from this web page. Planes will be later included in the last.

11 Flying points will be awarded suming up 5 “Official” flights with 5 allowed “tentatives” , (“Tentative”: a flight of 20 seconds or less). Flights can be made any day between October, 1st and July 15th 2.008, all of them can be done on the same date or in three different opportunities (maximum), this will allow contestants to participate when weather conditions are the best on its cities.

12 No time limit for flights, so it isn’t necessary to incorporate DT mechanisms, but if it is incorporated, must be of “fuse” type, i.e.: no timers allowed.

13 Contestant must send the form with the times in full seconds, for instance: 2 min 34,4 sec = 2 min 35 sec (or better yet: 155 sec)

14 In the eventual case that the model is captured for a thermal and get lost, the participant will get 2 minutes in this flight. In the case that the glider doesn't get lost (in spite of being in thermal and fly, for example: 15 minutes), the 15 minute flight would only be computed in the case the glider lands inside the flight field and/or to the participant´s visual reach (without special accesories).
